Audio Noise Reduction in Post Using iZotope RX 2 (DeNoiser) (FCPX)
In this tutorial I show you how to use the DeNoiser feature in iZotope RX 2 Advanced to significantly reduce background noise in your audio streams. I demonstrate this using audio captured via a Zoom h4N, however you can use this technique on any audio source. I’m using the Advanced version of the software, but this technique is the same in the regular version as well.
I should have included a demonstration of Final Cut Pro X’s reduce Background Noise feature to compare… but trust me, it’s night and day between the two. iZotope doesn’t just beat it, it crushes it in noise reduction. Plus, iZotope RX 2 isn’t just for noise reduction, you can repair clipped audio, fixed silenced gaps, remove hum, declick and decrackle audio recorded from vinyl sources and much, much more!
